WooHoo Fites.......... My dad was Eugene A. Fite from Wingo, Kentucky, he had several brothers and sisters... Art, Charlene (Helen), Ima, Paul, James and Boyd. I belive Art and Charlene are the only ones still living. I had two brothers, Harold now deceased and Eugene A. Fite, II. I really don't have anymore information but would love some if anyone out there can provide any.

Hello Troy,
I've been researching Tenn. Fites (have a copy of THE book). My lineage is Johannes Vogt, John Fite, Thomas, Thomas Jefferson, James Henry, Charles Roach Fite, my Grandfather of Atwood, Carroll Co, TN. It's been a real puzzle since so many male Fites share the same names.
Would you, and any other Fites, be interested in forming a surname group as part of the DNA project through www.familytreedna.com and/or National Geographic Society Genographic Project?

My name is Billy Gene Fite, and am pleased to find your blog. My dad's family is from Tennessee and word has been that we're of the Johannes Fite decendancy. My dad's family (Wilson Berry Fite, married to Edna Fite) was from the Tennga area on the Tennessee Georgia border. My family (wife and two chldren; one at UGA and one at Univ of Colorado) currently reside in Atlanta.

Hello Troy! I'm Jacqueline (Fite) Feagin, daughter of Ricky Darryl Fite (son of John Earl Fite) from North Carolina. I'm a newbie to all of this, but I am very interested in our ancestry. I know that we're descended from Johannes Vogt, but I'm wanting to know more. My grandparents passed away a few years back (my Grandmother was really into gathering info on the Fite Family Tree, but didn't leave any records) and my father doesn't know much about it. My husband is in the Army and we were recently living in the Hessen-Kassel area of Germany (Hanau), which peaked my interest in my ancestry. Our daughter was actually born in Hanau! My main Family starts in Jamestown,Tennessee with Peter Terrell Fite,Rufus Mitchell Terrell Fite,James Austin Fite,Frank James Fite,William Keaton Fite & Me William Vance Fite.

My name is Ellen Fite, from Cedar Park, Texas. My father changed his last name to Fite after his mother re-married to Paul Wilson Fite II. All we know on my dad's family is that his step-father's father's name was Paul Wilson Fite, and that his step-father's mother's name was Eleanor. We also know Paul Wilson Fite II was born in Detroit. Not sure yet if our family runs back to Tennessee or not yet. Sort of hit a dead end... My husband, Bert Rex Fite, has a grandfather, Robert Burl Fite, who will be turning one hundred years old on August 2nd. We are celebrating his big 100th on August 4th. Very fascinating to see all of the Fite ancestory. Thanks for updating. :)
Hello I need all the help I can get my mother my uncles and then my mothers children all of them were adopted my mothers blood name is fite id like to know about my famliy my mother is darla joan fite.my uncle that she was also with her is clinton fite I might have spelled his first name wrong there was another brother but I never met him he died. I have had to change the settings on this blog. I set it so everyone must register before posting. It seems that I have attracted a few too many brainless marketers who think that all they have to do is leave some meaningless compliment about the blog and then post their links to whatever they are selling or promoting.
